When to start your alterations

Plan to book your first appointment about three to four months before the wedding, with your first fitting roughly 8 to 12 weeks before the date. If your gown needs major changes, start earlier. We will confirm the right timeline for your dress at your consultation.

What to bring to your fitting

Bring the shoes and undergarments you will wear on the day, plus any accessories that affect the fit, like a belt or veil. Our free Bridal Fitting Checklist covers the seven things every bride should know before her first fitting.

Questions brides ask

How much do wedding dress alterations cost?

Every gown is different, so we give you a quote after seeing your dress and talking through the changes at your consultation.

Can a wedding dress be made bigger?

Often, yes. It depends on how much fabric is in the seams and how the dress is built. We check this at your first appointment and explain your options.

Do you alter dresses bought online or secondhand?

Yes. Bring the dress in and we will look at what can be changed. You can also send photos first through our quote form.

Every detail matters. Book your consultation and let us take care of the fit.
